Legendary Run Golf Course

This course used to be such an amazing place always in great condition ready for tournament play any time of the year. Greens, tees and fairways were always immaculate BUT not anymore they should be embarrassed and ashamed to charge almost $60 for this junk golf course. This used to be one of the nicest tracks around now I wouldn't even pay $5 to go there. I would recommend they find a superintendent that is educated in turf management.

PROS: Customer Service was excellent The course was in great shape and the greens were immaculate It is one of my favorite courses to play every year This is a course i would HEARTILY recommend for everyone to come out and enjoy! Some of the holes are challenging and just fun to play CONS: Our group noticed that the tee boxes were a little beat up and could use some care I think it would be helpful to have a Ranger going around often cause there was a foursome ahead of us, with four carts and were VERY SLOW. At one time we have 4 groups waiting on a par-4. should never happen....

I had played earlier this year and had no issue but this time was different. We were hounded the whole day about our pace of play although no one was behind us after the first two holes. When we made the turn someone was waiting for us telling us to hurry up even though no one was behind us. We scrambled on the back 9 to help with this and didn’t see anybody the rest of the day. Our total time playing was 4 hours and 30 minutes. Seems like they stack the tee times and expect you to play super fast. If you aren’t hitting the ball well don’t expect to do that. The course was also in horrible condition. Any fairway shot expect to take a 6 inch chunk out of the ground. Tee boxes had 6 feet of useable space. Greens were infuriating to play and bunkers were as hard as a rock. If the course is so concerned about pace of play they should have A.) have a playable course and B.) don’t stack the tee times. If I’m going to spend 70 bucks I’d expect a great experience. Spare your time and money and go elsewhere.

The free lunch and drink that used to come with a round was the only thing keeping this place passable. Now that they removed that it is extremely over priced for an out of shape golf course. The tee boxes are beat up, greens in terrible condition, bunkers are hard dirt, standing water in a lot of places while many other places are barren with dirt.

Long review incoming... PLEASE READ This is normally a great place to play, on their website they say "Friendliest club in Ohio", and usually this is the case, but not this time. I had a tee time booked for two people, I had arrived early but I knew my partner was going to be late because he was stuck in traffic because of an accident on 275 (locals know that unfortunately this can always be an issue). When I checked in and paid for BOTH of us I told the employee this might be an issue and he said, no problem, just tell the starter out by the first hole, fine with me. I go out to that starter, SHOW HIM MY TICKECT that I paid for both of us and say "my partner might be late, we might not be ready for our tee time, if we're not just let the twosome behind us go and we'll go after them" his exact words were, "YEAH THAT'S FINE, if you're not here and they are, I'll let them go", it ended with me saying "ok thanks, just wanted to let you know". Apparently I did something wrong, because when we pulled up to our tee time late, like I said we would be, the starter had a complete meltdown. Saying things like "that's not my problem you guys are late" and "I can't hold up 16 people because you're late" and "one of you should have gone and the second one can catch up later". Even though I kept telling him, I told you we were going to be late, none of his responses make sense, 1. I told him ahead of time we were going to be late 2. there were not 16 people waiting for us. 3. I had already paid for both of us, is my late partner supposed to just walk up grab a cart and drive out on the course with no proof of payment? THE STARTER DID NOT THINK THIS THROUGH BEFORE IMMEDIATELY YELLING AT US. WE WERE 10 MINS LATE TO A TEE TIME, THIS STARTER HAD NO IDEA WHAT TO DO Several other rude things were said by this starter, yelling, throwing both hands in the air, I told everybody I could that we would be late, and were yelled at by the starter when the starter apparently failed to understand what I was saying. These starters need a reality check, and and ego check, HE failed to do his job, HE failed to understand what I told him, HE greatly exaggerated the problem causing a verbal confrontation, HE thus almost ruined the 9 holes we were playing. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND UNDERSTANDING. I TOLD HIM WE WOULD BE LATE AND HE FAILED TO DO HIS JOB. Not to mention, there was some charity event going on in front of us so play was extremally slow, therefor our late appearance had no bearing on pace of play. PLAY HERE IF YOU MUST, BUT DON'T EXPECT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE

Almost 6 hours for a round. Carts barely made it up the hills. There was a starter, but no marshalls to be found to keep up the pace of play. Groups weren't even finishing as it was super hot and not enjoyable with the slow pace. We were looking forward to playing a high end course. This is not it. For $69, it was a horrible experience. I would have expected this for a $29 course. I feel like a refund for our foursome as well as others should have been offered a refund or rain check.

Played this course for the 1st time in June of 2023, and was satisfied overall. The layout was pretty sweet, and the pace of play on a Friday morning was perfect. I am only giving 4 stars because there was a ton of divots in the fairways, and a good amount of ball marks on the greens. On the other hand the tee boxes were great, no issues there. Overall a nice course, we will be back!
